The intent and ability of Global Switchboard is to connect Churches who have a mission Mindset, and their skilled believers, with missionaries, Pastors and International Churches, who need their expertise. This includes a free, step-by-step guide that provides presentation tools, engagement strategies, and access to a global network of opportunities to serve the Great Commission remotely to local Churches and connections to global needs.
Many Christians want to serve in global missions, but time, resources and logistics often prevent active involvement. At the same time, churches and international workers worldwide face challenges that require professional skills they may not have, such as marketing, technology and financial management.
Virtual missions provides a way for believers to use their skills remotely to support missionaries, ministries and organizations around the world. Through virtual collaboration, skilled and passionate believers can engage in meaningful global impact—without the limitations of travel or fundraising.
As a part of bridging this gap, Switchboard (globalswitchboard.io), is in collaboration with Christar (christar.org) and Pioneers (pioneers.org). The partnership between Switchboard, Christar and Pioneers ensures that the program is built with deep missions expertise and practical implementation strategies. Christar’s Engagement and Advancement division led the kit’s design, leveraging its expertise in church partnerships. Pioneers is supporting distribution, expanding the reach to churches globally. And Switchboard provides the technology and platform that connect skilled believers with global missions opportunities.
The Missio Nexus Innovation Grant enables Switchbord to provide for this relationship, but also allows us to develop future resources that will further connect churches, missionaries and faith-based organizations with skilled volunteers.
