BREAKOUT SESSIONS
Tom Griffin – Speaking the Bible
You want to know and understand the Bible better. Now imagine that you could speak a passage of the Bible from memory, not just a single verse or two, but something substantial. You can do it. In this seminar you will learn a process to enrich yourself with Scripture, understanding a passage well enough to speak it from memory. This seminar is an accelerated version of a brand-new Bible study called Speaking the Bible. Using this process, you will be ready to not only recite a passage of Scripture yourself but also to lead others to do so.
Tom Griffin taught physics and chemistry for 13 years in the United States, Belgium, and Germany before switching to high-tech consulting.
He has delivered Scripture recitations for two decades in California at Valley Bible Church, and in Germany at the International Christian Fellowship. He founded the By Heart recitation ministry and has written three books on the topic of Scripture recitation. Tom and his wife have two grown daughters and reside in Frankfurt, Germany.

Alan Moos – Emotional Health Peer Groups for Dummies
Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Isolation . . . Hurting people in our communities and churches hide their pain due to shame and cultural taboos. What can we do to help without trained counselors? We can share the compassion of Christ through empathy and honesty; and shine the light of love and Gospel truth into their darkness. Our church has partnered with Anchor International to lead emotional health peer groups. Through these groups we have shared the Gospel and have seen church members and non-members openly share their secret struggles and find new hope in Christ.
Alan Moos is the pastor of Oasis International Church in Macau, where he and his wife, Christina, have served over 5 years. Alan has 40 years ministry and pastoral experience including 11 years in Asia. A.J. Mathieu – A Global View of Leadership Development: Preparing People To Leave Your Church
Stop lamenting short tenures and start leveraging them. International churches have a unique opportunity: instead of mourning the "revolving door," we can create a global leadership pipeline. Acts 20:35 tells us it is more blessed to give than to receive. Let's give great leaders to each other! This session provides practical frameworks for shifting from a scarcity mindset to abundance thinking, plus actionable systems for onboarding newcomers into leadership development from day one. Become the IC that other pastors thank God for when your people arrive.

But what will the Church look like in less than a decade? In this session, Arnd will explore global trends shaping the future of the Church, share key hypotheses from his research, and invite discussion on their relevance for you. He will also highlight how Alpha, as an MICN partner, can support churches in responding effectively to the changing landscape.

Eric and Rachel Dufour – Maintaining A Healthy Life and Healthy Marriage in Ministry
"This breakout session is as much for singles as it is for married couples. Rachel and I will discuss practical ideas and solutions when facing difficulties conciliating personal life, married relationships, and family while ministering an IC. They travel the world as counselors and therapists, to provide help and teachings through various platforms and media. They are the parents of five boys, now all adults.
